We are seeking an investment professional to assist with research and portfolio management for our clients’ $1billion in assets, comprised of stocks, bonds, and ETFs. The individual will be responsible primarily for helping to manage Cabot’s two equity portfolios, each with approximately 35-45 global individual stocks. In addition to company research and portfolio recommendations, the job will include screening for new stock ideas and portfolio administration such as trading, rebalancing, handling client inflows/outflows, tax loss harvesting, etc. Special projects may include work on bond or ETF portfolios.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience professionally analyzing and making buy/sell recommendations on stocks and will be well versed in concepts of portfolio construction and asset allocation. MBA or CFA preferred. Experience with Bloomberg or similar, discounted cash flow modelling in Excel, and using primary and secondary documents for company research are all required. Our firm has a global focus with an interest in emerging industries and emerging markets; experience in this area is appreciated.
We are looking for a team-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be well organized, intellectually curious, motivated, and able to work independently.
Candidates will be asked to submit a research sample prior to interviewing.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus.
