The Team:
The Global Insights and Analytics business unit of Market Intelligence is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the global supply chain insights research strategy across GIA as well as supporting integration of research efforts across MI and S&P Global more broadly.

Responsibilities and Impact:
• Develop, deliver and maintain regular product- and industry-specific reports using the full range of GIA, MI and wider S&P Global capabilities. The reports will be predominantly technology-driven and will be designed specifically to support the commercial launch of Supply Chain Console.
• Produce research that adds value to our existing customer base resulting in benefits that improve customer retention and support average account growth. Research should also increase user engagement and product usage.
• Provide go to market support for our Supply Chain Console initiative, including support for the education of the commercial team on the benefits of multi-data set use.
• Support the production of supply chain and trade research including the weekly and monthly Supply Chain Edge reports, quarterly Outlook documents and other ad-hoc reports which support our core products including but not limited to: The Global Trade Analytics Suite, Panjiva, Pricing & Purchasing and Country Risk.
• Handle incoming requests for data and research from customers, commercial teams and colleagues in the research, marketing and public relations teams.
• Present research and products to customers and prospects at events and one-on-on calls.

The role will own the development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of regular, product-specific analytical reports which will leverage data analytics in support of the Supply Chain Console product. Support for other team members' work in both regular and ad-hoc reports as well as dealing with customer and colleague requests are central to the role. As the Supply Chain Research effort expands, the role may expand to include management of junior team members.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is approximately $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:

• At least five years producing data-driven trade or supply chain research
• Strong technical skills including SQL and Python as well as modern development tools including Snowflake and Github.
• Proven ability to self-direct research projects from ideation through publication
• Experience using multiple data sets to evaluate business challenges
• Knowledge and experience in analytics of time series data as applied to global trade and supply chains
• Experience engaging with clients and prospects, including ability to recognize and assess clients' needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attune to the latest technological development impacting the product management and development cycle
• Ability to recognize and assess clients' needs and translate these into new research ideas and input into the product management process

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with data use cases across sectors including logistics, procurement, finance and strategic decision-making
• Experience with network graph theory and signal-detection in machine learning analytics
• Knowledge of ESG-related issues as they pertain to supply chain strategies
• Prior work with finance-sector datasets and customers
