Position Title : Senior Systems Analyst

Job Description :

Support Wellington's Investment Product and Fund Strategies (IPFS) group, and the Information Technology development teams focusing on systems analysis, developing functional specifications, managing user expectations on outcomes and assisting and managing the development team's progress for the delivery of the functional solution. Coordinate with multiple business stakeholders in IPFS, Client Servicing, Fund Servicing & Product Management groups while developing a complete set of requirements. Develop simple, easy-to-use user reports using the Wellington databases to assist with critical regulatory & compliance queries. Support the business analyst team by educating and participating in discussions with data stewards and other data owners across the Firm. Function as a thought leader on standardization and rationalization of business requirements across various Fund & Product sponsors. Work closely with the quality assurance team to help write test cases and sign-off results to validate that testing quality meets the functional requirements. Work with external vendors to coordinate vendor-related release changes and manage users' and vendors' expectations. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements :

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related occupation in either an investment management or financial services environment.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Writing and debugging SQL queries, including inner and outer joins, and debugging report queries or logical and physical queries
  • Supporting a cross-technology production environment involving relational databases to resolve investment data issues.
  • Evaluating, understanding, and extending data models
  • Writing entity relationship diagrams
  • Writing clean functional specifications using tools Visio, Confluence, or JIRA
  • Working with Buy-Side back-office accounting and Fund life cycles
  • Developing systems involving UI and workflow-based functionalities
  • Working with Amazon-based AWS architecture
Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Working in Fund compliance and Fund regulatory domain areas, including US-based Fund compliance regulations
  • Working with one of the following vendors reporting solutions: Tableau, Oracle, Salesforce, JSON, or MYSQL
Will also accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related occupation in either an investment management or financial services environment.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $140,000-160,000/year.
