Position Title : Investment Specialist

Job Description :

Work as part of one or more product coverage teams to perform product development / marketing, investment integrity and risk management, and business management. The Investment Specialist works closely with investment teams, relationship teams, and business colleagues across the firm to support our clients' investment needs. The role provides analytical leverage to the team and acts as point of contact for a variety of internal constituents regarding inquiries about the investment teams and products under coverage. Specific duties include: perform analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution and risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing; creation and maintenance of marketing and client materials; review of RFPs, responses to client questions, automation of workflow, and collaboration on the development of client solutions and new investment approaches. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. 10% travel required for client meetings.

Job Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in financial, statistical, and quantitative analyses related to financial instruments or investment portfolios.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Financial modeling, business valuation, and securities valuation consulting
  • Global financial markets, macroeconomics, and industry analysis
  • Risk measurement and performance reporting
  • Investment risk analysis techniques, including regressions and scenario analysis
  • Using Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, and Market Intelligence
  • Data querying and analysis in MS Excel, Python, Matlab, SQL, or Tableau
Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Investment portfolio management
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $125,000-175,000/year.
