Investment Associate
Division: Asset Management

Reports to: Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer – Wealth Management

Purpose/Objective:
The Investment Associate performs a broad range of functions as part of Berkshire Bank Wealth Management’s Investment team, including managing investment performance, trading securities, creating reports, supporting the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Managers, performing investment and broker due diligence, and conducting regulatory reviews among other functions. Ensures internal and external compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manages investment performance reporting and data analysis processes, including contribution to system conversions.
- Perform targeted areas of investment research under the guidance of the Investment Committee.
- Support Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Managers in a broad range of functions, including trading, client account management, and reporting.
- Records minutes at Investment Committee Meetings; reports key developments to broader teams and committees.
- Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
Education:
- BA, BS or equivalent degree
- Progress toward CFA or CFP preferred
Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects and tasks amongst multiple priorities
- Priority given to candidates with experience in Investment Management, Financial Planning, Data Analysis, Performance Reporting, or general Financial Services
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interest in global markets, investing, portfolio construction and performance attribution
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
- Excellent writing & communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Adherence to deadlines
- Ability to multi-task; anticipatory & well organized
- Strong quantitative and technical skills
- Excellent Excel skills
