Position Title : Lead Software Engineer

Job Description :

Lead the delivery of high-quality business solutions, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support to meet the needs of our Fixed Income, FX, Equity, and Equity Derivatives and related applications within the Trading suite of applications. Work with business analysts and full-cycle software developers to advance technology capabilities Collaborate and interact with other technology partners across the department. Work with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans. Engage Managers and Business Analysts regularly to maintain feedback loop. Partner with Project Managers, Technical and Quality Assurance Leads on to prepare estimates, update status, identify issues and raise risks. Design, prototype, and code new software components and applications based on functional specifications across the full stack - services, web and desktop clients, infrastructure, and back-end. Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Work and manage OMS batch processing, services, and assembles deployment and maintenance, including DB archiving and Data replication. Manage, supervise, and guide team members and provide regular feedback for personal and technical growth. Educate junior developers on best practices, to right technical and software development. Keep projects on schedule to meet deadlines. Rapidly respond to production issues and diagnose complex issues under pressure. Conduct code reviews and mentor other team members in development best practices. Position is fixed based in Boston, MA office; However, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements :

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer lnformation Systems, Mathematics or a directly related field plus four (4) years of experience in enterprise software development.

Must have four (4) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Experience designing and developing web applications, services, and other relevant enterprise technologies, including Java and .NET/WPF client application development
  • Experience designing and developing complex web services using REST or cloud technologies
Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Experience developing web applications using HTML5, CSS, and modern Ul frameworks (Angular or React)
  • Experience with modern software development and testing methodologies, including Artifactory GlT, and Jenkins Cl
  • Experience with Message-driven application development and rich web-based user interface development
  • Experience analyzing, writing, and debugging multi-threaded applications
Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Experience tracking and leading projects technically and providing inputs for right direction
  • Experience with development tools, including Kafka, AWS, Java, .Net, or Spring boot
Will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer lnformation Systems, Mathematics or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience in enterprise software development in lieu of a Master's degree plus four (4) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $158,000-190,000/year.
