Position Title : Lead Systems Analyst
Job Description :
Implement and sustain a best-in-class systems platform to enhance, maintain, and support the Wellington suite of Implementation capabilities including portfolio implementation, investment compliance, and portfolio controls for the Portfolio Implementation Technology team. Interact with business users, partner with investment professionals (Traders, Portfolio Managers, Middle Office and Back Office), and coordinate efforts with software developers, database architects, and external software and data vendors globally to resolve issues. Perform gap analysis between current workflows and existing systems and proactively make tactical and strategic recommendations for improvements where appropriate. Act as a hands-on subject matter expert in front-to-back processing. Deliver software applications by collaborating with a broad range of business and IT teams to implement solutions to address complex business workflows. Interface with senior members of user community in an iterative manner to understand and design solutions, articulating and presenting systems capabilities in business-outcome terms to business teams. Provide business specifications and work with the development team to translate them to technical specifications. Refine estimation, planning, development/integration, testing and deployment processes. Review production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions, and follow-ups. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office location may also be allowed.
Job Requirements :
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a directly related field plus four (4) years of experience in a business analyst or system analyst role within the investment management or financial services industry.
Must have four (4) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $140,000-$185,000/year.

- Experience with SQL query and with SQL and PL/SQL, including the ability to write queries to analyze data stored in relational databases
- Managing project execution through all the phases of the SDLC lifecycle leveraging project management software tools, including Visio, JIRA, and Confluence
- Project management experience within the investment management or financial services industry
- Asset Management software experience, including order management, trading, or investment compliance
- Security instrument workflows, including equity, fixed income, derivatives, or cash
- Experience supporting the Front Office
