JOB SUMMARY:
Sets and maintains department’s investment philosophy and strategy while managing and communicating same to clients and staff.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
* Chartered Financial Analyst’s designation or progress towards is preferred
* Ten+ years’ experience in investment and/or financial analysis.
* Portfolio management background including personal and ERISA accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Working knowledge of computer software packages for Trust, business development and analytical software.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and quantitative skills.
* Proven strength in investment analysis and customer contact.
* Strong knowledge of investments and investment markets.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Stock analysis and selection.
2. Bond analysis and selection.
3. Portfolio management.
4. Performance analysis and presentation.
5. Advises customers on investment decisions. Communicates investment strategies and performance to customers. Performs efficient, mistake free execution of security trades.
6. Maintenance of investment computer programs.
7. Implements or oversees the voting of proxies, corporate actions, trading, etc.
8. Mutual Fund monitoring.
9. Maintains investment broker or other investment vendor relationships.
10. Member of Trust Investment Committee, Administrative Committee and Trust Mutual Fund Committee.
11. Runs internal investment training.
12. Selects and updates approved brokers and dealers.
13. Maintains and updates Investment Policy in conjunction with Trust Compliance Officer.
14. Advises Department Manager of vendor and program needs.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
