About our client

Our client focuses on private equity investments in the hospitality sector in Mexico. They seek to recruit a senior associate for the asset management team. The ideal candidate is a pro-active, analytical individual with first-hand experience in high-end hotel operations. The position is based in Mexico City What the job involves

  • Preparation of asset management strategies and business plans for potential investments
  • Complete strategic asset management initiatives to improve property values
  • Review and manage operating budgets, capital budgets and marketing plans
  • Conduct market and trend research to develop strategies that increase the value of assets
  • Assist the acquisition teams on evaluation of prospective businesses
  • Use financial data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to increase profitability and reduce costs
  • Assist operating management teams and asset management colleagues with other corporate development transactions as required, including financing, acquisitions, sales forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Documentary control of all assets through the purchase, development, stabilization, and sale process
  • Monitor internal performance and financial reporting on behalf of investments and preparation of documents for investors (quarterly reports, track record, etc.)
  • Review property inspection reports
Who we are looking for

  • Solid years of relevant business experience including work with an established hotel management company or real estate/ hospitality private equity, advisory or finance company. Asset management- specific experience is highly valued
  • Capable to multi-task and be nimble, with strong attention to detail, and a disciplined work ethic
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to establish priorities in a fast-paced, fluid work environment
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations
  • Self- driven and process oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, engineering or a related field
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
