Highland Capital:  Highland is a Memphis based RIA currently managing in excess of $3.5 billion.  Our clients include institutions, endowments and foundations, Taft Hartley plans, municipalities, 401k plans, and high net worth investors.

Position:  Fundamental Equity Research Analyst.  Candidate will be responsible for research coverage for 2 or more S&P sectors providing buy and sell recommendations, as well as general investment opinion and outlook for coverage areas.

Qualifications:  CFA or progress toward attaining CFA designation preferred, with  3 – 5 years of previous equity research experience desired primarily focused on large capitalization companies, but will consider other applicable research areas.  Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related area preferred.  Deep understanding of equity markets and fundamental analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bloomberg.

Expectations:  Must be able to work independently, but also collaborate effectively with other team members.  It is a necessity to be able to effectively communicate research opinions both in writing and orally, and present ideas to investment committee.  Individual must work as part of a team and will be expected to contribute ideas/opinions on macroeconomic outlooks and topics in addition to sector specific stock coverage and recommendations.  Will be expected to work with other internal team members such as Client Servicing and Marketing to provide updates and information that may be needed for client/consultant meetings and requests. The position will require the individual to work in office.
