The Private Wealth Management team at StevenDouglas is representing a $5B wealth management firm in Boston seeking an Investment Research Analyst - Associate.
Job Summary: The Research Analyst will be responsible for researching mutual funds and ETFs, updating
marketing materials, helping to determine investment allocations, and assisting in research efforts for
individual stocks. This person will work with all areas of the firm's Research team to help improve
investment results and firm-wide communications.
Responsibilities:
Asset Allocation: Work as a member of the investment team on global asset allocation, analyzing
market behavior and predictive factors to help improve portfolio performance.
Marketing: Coordinate and disseminate information to the organization, regarding investments,
performance, and client matters.
Research: Conduct in-depth asset class research to improve the firm's tactical positions. Work on
security selection process: build mutual fund screens, interview investment managers and identify
attractive funds.
Equity Research: Assist in inquiries from Portfolio Managers.
Projects: Research and respond to investment-related inquiries from Portfolio Managers.
Performance attribution: Identify and communicate the value added from various investment
decisions for client and model portfolios.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years relevant work experience required. Progress towards MBA/CFA
preferred.
Must demonstrate ability to contribute to the investment process.
Must exhibit strong fundamental analytical skills including ability to work with quantitative factors.
Must have working knowledge of investment technology and applications – Bloomberg, Excel,
PowerPoint, and data analysis.
Experience in programming is a plus.
Experience in mutual funds selection, private investments and working knowledge of asset allocation
a plus.
Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires someone technically proficient in data analytics and able to communicate portfolio
themes and strategy to the firm clearly. This person must be able to work well with coworkers and
demonstrate intellectual curiosity regarding capital markets. The applicant must be willing to work three days
a week in person in our Boston office. The firm offers an attractive compensation plan including a
