The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Advisors, one of the biggest asset managers in the world, that provides services to governments, institutions, and financial advisors across the globe. With over four decades of experience and trillions of dollars in assets under management, we offer one of the broadest selections of investments across asset classes, risk profiles, regions, and styles. As pioneers in index, ETF, and ESG investing, we are always inventing new ways to invest.

State Street Global Advisors is looking for a director of video production to join our collaborative and award-winning marketing team. As our expert in video production and motion design, you'll help ideate, concept, and produce engaging multimedia content that helps propel our brand forward. You're a customer-first strategic thinker that guides bold and cohesive creative approaches that drive performance and deliver business results.

Both a technical multimedia expert and a creative storyteller, you're well-versed in multiple aspects of production, including videography and photography (camera, lighting, and audio operation), editing and animation - all while championing a cohesive and compelling brand voice and image across the organization.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Creative direction of all motion design and video assets produced by brand, marketing, executive communication teams and external vendors
  • Concepting, storyboarding, shooting, directing, and editing high-quality multimedia content, using video, photography, motion graphics, text, and audio to add value to the client's overall brand experience and campaign effectiveness
  • Partnering with content and channel marketing teams on scripting best practices, and developing innovative ways to repackage our research, insights, and commentary into digestible and engaging pieces of content - informing and engaging our audience while presenting our people and our brand in the best light possible.
  • Collaborating with a team of multi-disciplinary designers to develop cross platform multimedia assets including animated digital ads, social graphics, and short and long form videos
  • Establishing a best-in-class video production practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and high-performing videos - codifying best practices, protocols, and processes along the way
  • Partnering closely with channel marketing, content, and advertising teams to develop videos and motion graphics that drive awareness, engagement and high quality, tangible sales leads.
  • Providing hands on technical instruction to teams and individuals on the production of multimedia projects, including the use of software, audio-visual equipment, and transcription services.
  • Managing equipment, including cameras, studio gear, audio equipment, and at home filming "kits".
  • Evaluating and partnering with external video production agencies and specialists to supplement, scale, produce, and improve the quality of our videos across channels
  • Directing on screen talent to ensure the best performances, especially senior executives with minimal media training, time, and attention. Partner with communications team to implement a media training program for key executives
  • Managing marketing commissioned photoshoots
  • Work closely with marketing, creative and production management leadership to help allocate resources, meet project milestones, accurately estimate required resources and appropriately prioritize projects
  • Constantly looking for opportunities for collaborations between design disciplines (brand design, creative, user experience design)
  • Coordinating and negotiating across multiple stakeholders and disciplines to continuously optimize the overall client experience
  • Define and implement remote recording criteria and processes, to maximize remote video recording quality, while making the process as easy as possible for users
  • Envision and implement innovative ways in which employees can film remotely in a studio-like environment in the office, across key global locations
  • Manage overall structure and growth of the team. Work with local producer/editor and remote Bangalore post-production team to maximize efficiency and quality of video production

What We Value
  • You are a "hands-on" director with a full knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), and willingness to dive in and do the work.
  • You have an eye for high-end brand and campaign work, as well as lead-from-the-front design expertise to help the team produce compelling video content
  • You have experience analyzing marketing stats and video metrics and are able to draw conclusions and develop action plans
  • You have a bachelor's degree in film, graphic design or related field (or applicable experience)
  • You have 8+ years of relevant experience working either in-house or at an agency
  • You can provide a reel or samples of work demonstrating video and creative work with your role clearly defined and called out
  • You understand the importance of a brand's identity and how our visual and verbal executions come together to create a holistic brand experience
  • You are a planner who constantly thinks ahead about the needs of the team, our partners, and the project
  • You have experience working with a globally and culturally diverse team
  • Your focus doesn't fade after the presentation - you have deep respect for the craft and attention to detail required to achieve excellence
  • You have experience directing a live production from the first pre-production meeting to the completion of post-production deliverables
  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to coach and direct talent to ensure that they look and feel comfortable in front of the camera
  • You can identify and eliminate obstacles to ensure a successful production, anticipating and solving problems on the fly.
  • You have an eye for high-end brand and campaign work, as well as lead-from-the-front design expertise to help the team produce compelling video content
