Who we are looking for

State Street's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) organization is looking to bring onboard a skilled candidate to support the Head of Data Risk Management Program Office within the second line of defense (SLOD) Data Risk Management team.

Why this role is important to us

The SLOD Data Risk Management team will serve as an independent risk function within ERM to ensure that enterprise-wide data risks are understood, owned and managed appropriately.
This position will play a critical role to support the implementation of a SLOD data risk framework, including data risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting.

What you will be responsible for

This SLOD Data Risk Management function is responsible for establishing a framework for data risk oversight, which includes an integrated set of programs, processes and tools to assist the Firm in measuring and remediating data risks.
As the Data Risk Management Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

Risk Identification and Assessment
  • Document and maintain data risk taxonomy and material risk inventory
  • Work with the first line of defense (FLOD) and perform gap assessment on policies and controls
  • Perform review and challenge on critical programs and risk areas related to data
  • R isk assessment, data governance
Risk Measurement, Monitoring and Reporting
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and reporting of data related key risk metrics and ensure breaches are properly escalated and addressed
  • Develop aggregated reporting (e.g., risk dashboards) to provide a holistic view of data risk and create presentations to the regulators, the Board, and senior Executives as required
  • Monitor data related incidents, findings / issues, and controls, etc.

Continuous Program Enhancement
  • Monitor emerging data related regulations and incorporate into the SLOD assessment methodology / processes
  • Develop mechanisms and conduct self-evaluation to assess program maturity

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4+ years' direct work experience in risk management or data management

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
