What this Product Manager will do:

This Product Manager will be a part of the innovative Asset Management Solutions (AMS) team within FNZ. AMS is focusing on connecting the end-to-end wealth value chain by providing distribution-focused services for asset managers and personalized asset management solutions . Financial institutions, advisors and their clients will benefit from the combination of FNZ's full service, end-to-end platform, and AMS' market leading fixed income portfolio management technology.

This Product Manager will be r esponsible for the AMS product strategy and client delivery relating to automated portfolio construction and commercial APIs for existing and future wealth management and financial institution clients. The ideal Product Manager should be highly proficient in both API and financial-market standards and have a keen interest in new market practices. This Product Manager should be experienced with Agile SDLC development.

Responsi bilities of this Product Manager include:

API / DATA :

  • Assist on negotiations with data partners to onboard the data that fit the needs of the Product Management Team .
  • Partner with Data Engineering team to onboard new data sources, migrate and maintain of existing ones .
  • Partner with technology and Quant team s for integrations, development, and enhancements to existing APIs to solve new use-cases


PoC development :

  • Understand use-cases and client pain points, given interviews with potential clients .
  • Partner with the sales and business development team to address these use-cases and develop solutions .
  • Develop proof of concepts and prototypes to demonstrate value of said solutions to potential clients . These prototypes leverage YieldX APIs, notebooks, Retool and Elasticsearch among other tools .


Product Management :

  • P roviding requirements and specifications for new products and guidance through the development process .
  • Provide SME guidance to product owners during product refinements, as well as internal partners in data and engineering .


What we are looking for:

  • 7 to 10 y ears of experience
  • Market subject matter expertise in portfolio construction, portfolio analysis and market dynamics relating to liquidity profiling (fixed income preferable)
  • Portfolio of projects related to market and data analytics
  • Deep understanding of REST API architecture with design experience in API design
  • Experience creating and maintaining API documentation, including working knowledge of OpenAPI Specification
  • Experience with market data ecosystems, including fixed income
  • Experience building analytics within the financial domain
  • Experience with brokerage and/or asset manager operational workflows


Tools - requirements :

  • Postman
  • Swagger
  • Twilio Segment
  • API Product Analytics tools ( i.e Gainsight/ FullStory / Mixpanel )
  • Atlassian products (JIRA/Confluence)


What are must -haves:

  • Working knowledge of common API authentication methods
  • Working knowledge of API analytics (KPIs and metrics)
  • Familiarity with API test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with API Gateway technologies (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with SDKs for APIs
  • Python functional programming knowledge
