Description
Summer analysts will become integral members of the Technology Investment Banking Group, joining a small transaction team which provides financial advisory services to the firm's clients. In addition, our summer analysts participate in an on-going training program, starting with a week of training in New York. Classes held throughout the summer teach the basic fundamentals of banking, with a specific focus on modeling and relevant analytical techniques. Depending on your background, day-to-day responsibilities could include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, participating in the development of client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. Assignments fall into a range of categories, including M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets. Summer analysts are expected to spend 9 weeks at the Firm.
Qualifications
Candidates should be university students in their penultimate year and top academic performers who are willing to work in an unstructured environment, which values initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning. Academic backgrounds may vary (no background in finance or accounting is required), however candidates must be comfortable with basic financial concepts and enjoy quantitative work.
