Who we are looking for
TradeNexus is seeking an intermediate or senior level front-end developer to help build our next generation of web application which will have meaningful impact for our customers and our business.
TradeNeXus (formerly FX Connect Trade Services and GTSS) is an award winning post-trade solution developed primarily for asset managers and their counterparties that provides electronic matching, confirmation and communication of settlement information for FX and money-market funds. The platform has recently rebranded and embarked on strategic enhancements to create additional value-add to its client base. The platform has recently extended its solutions to FX clearing workflows and CLS monitoring to facilitate overview of settlement across custodians.
TradeNeXus is a part of the GlobalLink suite of market-leading e-trading platforms, technology, data and workflow solutions from State Street Global Markets.

You will be joining State Street Digital, our new division that combines advanced trading technology, best execution and servicing expertise with proprietary market research and insights to support clients in decentralized financial markets. Together with other teams across our company, you will be working on the evolution of our award-winning GlobalLink technology platform into a multi-asset solution that will include crypto, central bank digital currency, blockchain and tokenization.

What you will be responsible for
As a Full stack developer (AVP), you will

1. Design and build complete, high-performance web applications
2. Collaborate closely with product management, QA, and other developer team members
3. Identify and implement best practices in coding and design, keeping up on the latest developments in web technologies

What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:

1. 4+ years of enterprise software development experience.
2. Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and multi-threading concepts.
2. Fundamental understanding of modern messaging brokers like Kafka or Pulsar.
3. Experience in developing applications that use distributed caching technologies like Hazelcast or Redis.
3. Experience with Websocket programming using Netty or Spring Reactor, Webflux, or RxJava.
4. Hands-on experience with REST-based microservices and best patterns for implementing them.
5. Hand-on experience with relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL.
6. Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA and hibernate.
7. Familiarity with modern web development tools and patterns e.g. Redux, React Hooks, NodeJS.
8. Passionate about building excellent software with customer focus and empathy.
9. Team player with a thirst to learn, a sense of urgency, and ownership and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Preferred Qualification

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related degree
2. 5+ years of experience as a software engineer

Nice to have

1. Stream processing using Kafka or Flink
2. Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
3. Working experience in AWS - AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, and DynamoDB.
4. Experience working in the financial industry specifically trade life cycle management

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $160,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
