The Alpha Platform Management Data Delivery Engineer supports the Alpha Platform roadmap by contributing to strategic initiatives in Alpha Platform Management and delivers new services and capabilities across the Alpha ecosystem.

Alpha harmonizes data, technology and services across the end-to-end investment management cycle so our clients' teams can overcome silos, work smarter and stay in sync. The Alpha organization consists of Charles River Development and Alpha Services (Investment Manager Services and Alpha Data Services). Together, we are driving the strategic vision for State Street into 2022 and beyond.
What you will be responsible for
As an Alpha Platform Management Data Delivery Engineer you will

• Deliver end-to-end development of reports, dashboards, extracts and APIs against Snowflake databases and 3rd party applications using Looker and other BI/reporting tools
• Collaborate with other data engineering resources across the organization to leverage existing capabilities and provide feedback to improve core capabilities
• Understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements
• Provide plans and associated estimates for assigned development activities
• Create high quality reports, dashboards, extracts and APIs along with associated queries and/or API calls
• Ensure all Alpha UX and UI standards are adhered to and provide feedback to improve standards
• Unit test development and support automated testing procedures
• Respond to and manage support inquires, determine root-cause for defects raised and provide timely solutions and/or fixes

• Strong engineering and technical skills
• Strong development skills using SQL, Snowflake, Looker, REST APIs and other BI tools such as Tableau

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Technical roles with Snowflake and Looker experience preferred
• Established data delivery engineer with specific experience in SQL and BI development using agile and waterfall methodologies
• Experience working with teams across business services, information systems and enterprise applications
• Experience working with investment managers and asset owners globally

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
