Who we are looking for
This is a hands-on software engineer position in State Street Global Technology Services seeking a leading technical lead responsible for designing and guide development on ERM systems used by the business to manage risk. The position involves designing solutions to process large volumes of data and interface systems that simulate market and credit scenarios to produce risk measures for regulatory compliance and risk management. The candidate should have hands-on coding skills and should be able to work in a structured software development environment.

What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Analyst you will
  • Lead the planning, analysis and implementation of different projects within Credit Risk systems. The individual will liaise with project sponsors, developers and other stakeholders both on the business and technical teams to manage project requirements and facilitate solution implementation. The individual must be able to work under minimal direction while keeping senior management apprised of issues and project status.
  • Facilitate project scope, requirements gathering and implementation planning with project sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Lead requirement elaboration and actively participate in solution design
  • Coordinate project planning and execution with cross-functional project managers, external consultants, application managers, business managers, development and QA staff
  • Manage within a matrix environment with resources and services provided by centralized teams
  • Clearly communicate verbally and in written form, the status of the project to both senior business and senior technical management.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and manage the software quality assurance process for the assigned projects.

  • Experience working on data sourcing and transformation related to Credit Risk Exposure data
  • Experienced in doing data analysis for the business requirements in hand
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and balance priorities

  • Proven analytical skills to interpret business and functional requirements and come up with appropriate technical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of both waterfall and Agile SDLCs
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance Information Technology with 5-7 years hands on software development/systems analysis/project management experience.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

  • Communicate effectively in a professional manner both written and orally
  • Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm initiative and self-motivation
