JOB OVERVIEW

As a member of our top-notch technology team, you will implement creative research methods, access industry-leading data and experts, and collaborate with colleagues from around the world to achieve these insights on behalf of our clients. We are seeking a qualified Senior Systems Analyst to join our Trading Technology Team. You will provide technology to the firm's world-class trading professionals, pursuing projects from idea generation and prototyping to validation and production. You will be faced with compelling challenges and encouraged to solve problems by using innovative techniques. You will work with and learn from exceptional investment, trading, and operations professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments. Ongoing training and development will be provided to further develop and hone your quantitative and fundamental skillset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with different trading business teams and business analysts to define and develop requirements for order management systems (OMS) workflows and other auxiliary trading applications

• Work with the trading business team to prioritize their needs and ensure communication to keep them apprised of progress

• Act as primary interface for different trading vendors and brokers/dealers for onboarding and certification testing

• Collaborate with global software developers, database architects, vendors, and other IT and business teams to analyze and determine functional specifications and design for new applications and enhancements to existing applications

• Develop deep knowledge and expertise in Wellington specific trading workflows

• Responsible for the release management and deployment of new functionalities to the business users

• Facilitate resolution of production issues by working with appropriate teams to research problems, track progress and determine and document solutions

• Stay current with evolving Trading industry and technical trends to ensure systems are of highest caliber

QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

• Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple competing tasks

• Strong data analysis and SQL skills

• Experience in a systems role supporting investment or trading professionals

• Knowledge of trading technology, order management systems (OMS) workflows or asset class specific trading practices and protocols, FIX Trading Protocol is a plus

• Experience documenting/diagramming workflows and using project tracking tools, such as Jira

• Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment

• A strong team player, with ability to work in collaboration across teams

• Intellectual curiosity and interest to learn independently and from peers
