Who we are looking for
The State Street Alpha Middle Office team is seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the role of Assistant Finance Manager role within our North America Business Management team. The selected individual would have responsibility for assisting with determining the cost-to-serve & projecting future profitability for prospective & existing clients during sales engagements and ongoing operations. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert on the Alpha Middle Office pricing process and facilitate financial updates on prospects as they move through the sales pipeline and then monitor ongoing profitability in a post-go-live environment.

What you will be responsible for
  • Apply in depth knowledge of Alpha operating model, systems & personnel to develop and deliver accurate financial proposals
  • Help ensure the profitability of State Street's Alpha product by pricing out sales opportunities and maintaining pricing calculator(s)
  • Develop and maintain account pro forma and scenario analyses that provide clarity in deal review committees
  • Communicate with prospective clients to identify critical information needed to develop a sound proposal
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and assist front line sales teams by delivering a message that engenders confidence in our financial proposals
  • Interact with Executive management to review commercial estimates and provide transparency on all levels of commercial details

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • Aptitude in financial modeling and leveraging large data sets using Excel
  • Solid data manipulation skills
  • Able to understand complex business drivers
  • Proficiency with managing & prioritizing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • High standards of accuracy and precision
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to be resourceful in a rapidly evolving environment
