This role allows you to play a key role in delivering solutions to highly-coveted business partners, solve complex technical problems, and provide significant leadership in order to sustain their world-class technology platforms. This role engages directly with the firm's business professionals in support of their workflow processes, and will work in a cross-functional capacity by frequently interacting with key members of application support, engineering, infrastructure, and various other teams across the IT department. The appetite for technology at this firm is insatiable, and this role is the epitome of the intersection between cutting edge technology and critical business processes.

The Lead Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Serve as an escalation point for the team on advanced technical issues, while providing a deep understanding of standard desktop applications and infrastructure
  • Advance their customized support model designed to provide the highest level of service delivery to the business community
  • Drive for issue prevention by employing root-cause analysis, issue tracking, trend analysis, and status reporting
  • Provide day-to-day oversight over the flow of services request and incidents for the team, constantly seeking process improvement opportunities

The Lead Desktop Support Engineer should have the following qualifications:
  • Experience in a lead role, with a minimum of six years of hands-on desktop support experience
  • Experience in PC hardware - desktops, laptops, tablets
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Strong knowledge of mobile devices (iOS, Android, etc...) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems
  • Must be a self-starter, possessing drive and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong communication skills, experience in providing "white-glove" IT service to VIP's and / or C-Suite executives

Additional qualifications (not required):
  • Experience working in a financial firm
  • ITIL knowledge / certifications
