The Role: CIS-Product Manager, Alternative Data

The Team: The CIS team focuses on defining, managing and supporting workflow solutions that deliver our best-of-breed data to professionals across the markets and segments we serve. This inspired team of experts collaborate to drive continuous market awareness for the commercial organization and provide consistent feedback around improvements in product innovation and usability. The team's goal is to preserve and grow existing business, while also focusing on expansion to untapped segments and markets through product advancement

The Impact: As the CIS Product Manager for Alternative Data you will advance the overall offering of these unique datasets. You will be responsible for addressing client needs, and help drive revenue and innovation across the Enterprise. You will develop these organizational objectives by working directly with Clients, Sales, Content Management and Information Technology to ensure alignment and execution. By working across the Enterprise you will establish key themes that will build upon and produce high quality and consistent data that serve an array of customers

What's in it for you:
• Coordinate all activities related to the Alternative product offering and its enablement to all Enterprise products (Daily Feeds, API, Cloud)
• Work closely with our clients to understand their needs, the competition and articulate the value proposition of our products.
• In conjunction with New Product Development Group, create a strategic Alternative Data roadmap that will include an end-to-end process, and demonstrate how it will support client needs within the capital markets and beyond.
• Help create and manage third party channel partnerships to further expand the product to additional clients and user types.

Responsibilities:
• Build relationships across senior management and key stakeholders to gain buy in and support for additional product and content initiatives for Alternative Data
• Own and manage the business requirements for all existing product processes and new ideas that will start in the future.
• Collaborate and engage actively across all S&P Global Market Intelligence divisions to align product priorities and synergies where appropriate.
• Create and maintain strategic road maps for new and existing content within the Alternative Data offering and work collaboratively with the additional business and product teams across S&P Global to identify new or expanded content and analytics.
• Execute technology initiatives with the IT organization by providing functional requirements and data analysis.

What We're Looking For:
• In-depth knowledge of the financial industry and competitive landscape as well as an understanding of differentiated Alternative Data concepts and how they relate to enterprise clients (ie: investment management, investment banking, academics, financial corp, etc...).
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise in defining enterprise data strategies, and successfully leading product management functions.
• Strong organizational management, business case development, and able to work across business teams to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with advanced/predictive analytics, and data-centric technologies desired.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,000 to $161,00. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
