Job Description

What you will be responsible for
As a Private Equity Fund Accounting & Administration, Assistant Vice President you will:
  • Supervise all subordinate staff (including, Officer, Senior Assoc. and/or Senior Staff - globally).
  • Manage internal workflow and client deadlines.
  • Manage client relationships with both client personnel and internal teams.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial work paper packages including portfolio schedules, accruals and valuations.
  • Review and/or preparation of capital calls and distributions.
  • Review periodic bank and cash reconciliations and post journal entries.
  • Review quarterly management fee, incentive fee and carried interest calculations.
  • Review and/or preparation of various client related correspondence.
  • Coordination of annual audit preparation with external accounting firms and clients.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates must have an a college degree (business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus) and at least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Specific experience in the private equity industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Business Development Companies (BDC) and/or Private Credit portfolios is preferred but not required.
  • Mutual Fund background is ideal for a transition to a Private Equity/Private Credit accounting role.
  • Experience with Investran or other partnership accounting applications is a plus.
  • Experience with State Street's applications including Multi-Currency Horizon (MCH) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Private and Syndicated Loans including the Wall Street Office recordkeeping application is preferred but not required.
