About the Role

The Senior Workday Analyst will be responsible for collaborating across all business lines in the firm to deliver talent reporting and analytics. In addition, this role will support the development of the Talent Data Strategy working with the Talent Reporting & Analytics Manager and Talent Technology Solutions team.

This role will add value through developing and creating talent analytics and reports to support our business in making key talent-related decisions by using our Workday platform. In addition, this role will be responsible for working with the Talent Operations team to build an effective, high quality data environment. The candidate should be passionate about reporting and analytics, data analysis techniques, and data maintenance. They should have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, reporting and analytics tools, and building and implementing models, with an aptitude to drive business results with data-driven insights. A strong level of comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority is required and individuals in this role must display a high degree of judgment and discretion for handling sensitive data. The right candidate will have a strong passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes and understand/tell the story.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Partner with various teams across the organization including Human Resources and across all business lines in the firm to design, shape and deliver talent data, insights, and tools that can be leveraged for practical/actionable outcomes.
  • Deliver value via strategic insights for our business through common analytics platforms, methodologies, and tools that create next generation capabilities, pushing data for decisions as close to the decision point in the business as possible
  • Building effective dashboards for senior executives, managers and driving teams to a self-service model
  • Assist in capturing requirements for the development of management reporting and collaborate across teams and business lines transforming data into insights and solutions
  • Maintain an accessible catalogue of the library of key reports and dashboards used by leadership and HR to make decisions
  • Provide support to managers and leaders for questions regarding data and provide ad hoc querying support for data analysis by various groups.
  • Play a lead role on defining and implementing the data strategy, including developing and monitoring project plans.
  • Optimize the use of data in the organization through maximizing user adoption and data literacy growth, while providing practical insights so that people can understand
  • Lead regular periodic external benchmarking efforts to understand how best-in-class and peer companies are approaching and investing in People Analytics
  • Proactively anticipate issues and provide a perspective to leaders/teams for how to deliver practical solutions
  • Develop and monitor project plans, track and follow-up on risks, accurately report progress against milestones to keep projects/initiatives on schedule
Qualificatons:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Data or Computer Science, Business Management, or related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in asset management or human resources roles particularly with a focus on HR data analysis through utilization of Workday and supporting tools like PRISM
  • Proficient understanding of talent processes, decision making, and competitive landscape within the institutional asset management industry or relevant experience across other industries
  • Proficiency in enhancements to Workday in support of reporting needs
  • A technical capability using visualization tools such as Workday PRISM and Tableau with a desire to learn other technical concepts such SQL and relational database concepts, competent with analytical tools such as R, Python
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), facilitation, and social/EQ skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex, nebulous or ambiguous concepts and ideas across all levels
Other Requirements:
  • Take the lead on driving the adoption of reporting tools in Workday (e.g., PRISM, Discovery Boards, etc.)
  • Proactively and intellectually curious self-sufficient professional, able to convey complex ideas and datasets to actionable uses for Workday reporting, and business analytics.
  • Demonstration of superior data skills, including reporting, analytics, management, and techniques.
  • An agile mindset that can look "horizontally" across the platforms' teams to identify opportunities for increased synergy and more impactful collaborative outcomes
  • Appreciation for confidentiality and demonstrated business judgment and discretion.
  • Active learner and listener who is continuously eager to acquire new skills to succeed in a dynamic evolving environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments, and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrating strong business acumen (e.g., comfort dealing with ambiguity, outcome-oriented with demonstrated drive for results) with strong attention to detail and quality while keeping larger goals and deadlines in mind.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks; prioritize effectively, meet deadlines; and deliver high quality, well-reviewed work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
