What you will be responsible for: Principal Quality Assurance Analyst position (Investment and Trading) in the GTIO department is a technology leadership role responsible for the quality assurance function for a suite of applications or business capabilities supporting our investment and trading applications at MFS. The position responsibilities include bringing towards the concepts of understanding business architecture, requirements definition, data integrations, and extending these to ensure the overall quality of the applications and the capabilities being tested. The quality assurance function includes functional, regression, integration, data, performance, automation, load, security, and continuous testing aspects of the application suites. The business departments supported includes Investments, Trading and Investment Operations. This position acts as an overall quality partner & holds sign-off responsibility for the business areas supported and would guide the team in terms of testing strategy, approach, and processes to be followed.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for a portfolio of business applications for a small business technology portfolio, or major segment of the business technology portfolio from the quality assurance perspective.
• Needs to be proficient and very detailed at the 'implementation level' to define strategy and implementation of for major segments of MFS' business portfolios (Investments, Trading, Investment Operations, and Distribution).
• They are the overall quality partner and holds final quality sign-off responsibility for the application suite.
• Will be providing expert level direction of the MFS application quality assurance strategy, approaches, tools, and technologies in testing (functional, regression, integration, data, performance, automation, load, security, and continuous testing) to ensure highest quality for the applications and solutions required for the business capabilities. Will be responsible for the definition of standards for test cases and success criteria, and expert in authoring them.
• They need to possess deep knowledge of industry data domains, application processes, and interdependencies between apps / data in solutions required for the business capabilities supported. Will be responsible for the overall quality at the portfolio and end-to-end solutions.
• Requires deep domain knowledge of the industry standards and capabilities, regulatory requirements, and business knowledge to collaborate with the senior business analyst and engineering leads.
• Will be participating in the technology solutions' implementation approach and strategy, integration solutions and overall user-experience and interactions with the business stakeholders and software engineering teams. As such, the projects and initiatives require extensive research, analysis, value-stream integrations, and interconnectivity,
• Coordinate infrastructure and information security rollouts and upgrades with the Agile teams and align various roadmaps into the execution plan.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
• 10+ years' experience as a business analyst or quality assurance engineer or business domain expert in the financial services industry supporting buy-side technology.
• 10+ years' experience in testing complex software solutions in the Investment management firms. Proven expertise to understand business architecture and multi-layered business applications and develop quality assurance strategy and approach.
• Strong technical, analytical, and business knowledge. Excellent understanding and experience of all aspects of the quality assurance process - functional, regression, data, performance, automation, load, and security testing.
• Possesses deep domain knowledge of the quality assurance tools and processes, with special emphasis on the latest automation and integration technologies that are regularly emerging. Should possess business knowledge to collaborate with the business analyst leads, engineering leads and / or senior leaders of the business portfolio.
• Ability to assess impact of the proposed business requirements or engineering changes to the existing application suites and devise efficient and effective plan to ensure quality across the entire portfolio.
• Familiarity required to work with product / solutions vendors and support protocols.
• Strong knowledge of databases (Oracle and SQL Server preferred) including SQL query language or PL/SQL programming.
• Proven ability to maximize resources and communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, a proven commitment to best practices and a demonstrated ability to coach agile teams.
