OVERVIEW
The position is part of the Bank Loan Operations Group within InvesTech Operations. Bank Loan Operations manages and is responsible for all operational bank loan activity post trade execution. The team has a broad array of responsibilities including overseeing outsourced relationships, performing reviews of account specific requirements, coordinating access to credit documentation, reviewing, and signing confirms and assignment agreements, coordinating flow of data from Wall Street Office into WMC systems, providing operational support to portfolio managers and trading teams, and supporting the client on-boarding process.

The Oversight Principal will be specifically tasked with supporting the CLO Platform, a new business line for the firm. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the services we outsource specific to all CLO workflows for which a Collateral Manager must perform. This individual is also expected to design the optimal long-term support model for servicing the firm's future state scalable CLO platform, including internal resource requirements, outsourced services provider and front-office technology vendor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities:
  • Oversee the CLO outsourced services
  • Manage internal/external inquiries and reporting requests
  • Oversee the integrity of CLO deals including underlying bank loan collateral by identifying and resolving discrepancies related to data, payments, and amendments
  • Manage strategic projects and initiatives as well as prioritizing information technology needs and requirements in the development of an industry leading CLO platform
  • Mitigate risk through strong procedural discipline and prudent judgement
  • Assist other areas of the firm to support client needs and respond to general inquires
  • Support the CLO Advisory and Management functions, participating in team meetings and assisting with the life cycle of CLO deals
  • Liaise between investment team and technology vendor to troubleshoot issues and prioritize enhancement requests
  • Trustee oversight and relationship management
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate is likely to have or possesses the below skills, experience, and qualifications:
  • A college degree and a minimum of 6-8 years experience; the majority of which consisted of a role exposed to CLO's and servicing of the asset class
  • Extensive experience with overseeing an outsourced CLO service agreement or involved with the internal servicing of an investment manger's CLO book of business
  • Involvement in designing and developing a robust CLO servicing platform
  • Fluency with the varying stages of CLO lifecycles and the end-to-end support of each phase
  • Familiarity in servicing Bank Loans is required
  • Knowledge of the CLO vendor landscape and experience dealing with trustees, collateral agents, and service providers such as alterDomus, Broadridge, and IHS Markit
  • Must be well organized, resourceful, motivated and have the ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Proven track record of initiating and managing change utilizing strong business judgment, risk analysis skills and risk mitigation techniques
  • Well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong business judgment, including the ability to synthesize multiple complex issues and effectively balance competing objectives
  • Ability to think with vision
  • Ability to partner effectively with others
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Work towards CPA, advanced degree, or CFA is a plus
