Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Data and Modeling Analytics Audit Manager, Vice President, who will lead a team of model and data analytics auditors to provide analytics-based services and solutions, both modeling and data analytics, to support audit oversight over business lines including Global Markets (securities lending; FX trading) and State Street Global Advisors. He or she needs to build collaborative relationships with audit colleagues and stakeholders of Audit Analytics team to effectively advance the use and impact of analytics to strengthen the company's risk and control environment.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As Data & Modeling Analytics Audit Manager, Vice President you will
  • Lead a team of model and data analytics auditors to provide analytics-based services and solutions, both modeling and data analytics, to support audit oversight over business lines including Global Markets (securities lending; FX trading) and State Street Global Advisors
  • Oversee timely execution of audit support in data and modeling, and analytics-based solution development to advance insight-driven assurance and visualization of results and quantitative analytics
  • Advise Corporate Audit stakeholders on analytical options to address their specific needs, including discussing potential analytical approaches to problems, associated costs and trade-offs, and recommendations
  • Design, coordinate, and implement analytical business and technology solutions to support audit and innovation initiatives.
  • Develop in-depth subject-matter-expertise in understanding key strategic data sources and data lineage, and effectively leverages knowledge to derive meaningful audit data analytics results.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across the firm to stay abreast of changes to the data architecture and source new data for use in Audit Analytics.
  • Effectively use knowledge of statistics and data sciences to drive a scientific approach to auditing and analytics.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to auditors across all levels.
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to State Street.
  • Display strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership ability across all levels coupled with effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an analytical field such as Statistics, Data Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, Accounting, or Finance
  • 8 - 10 years analytics, application or reporting development experience with exposure to analytics tools such as PC SAS, Enterprise Guide, SQL, Business Objects, Qlikview, Tableau, or Spotfire as well as experience with Unix and/or Perl shell scripting to develop client analytics solutions.
  • Programming experience with analytic languages such as SAS, R or Python; working experience with large and diverse RDBMS OLTP or OLAP data stores, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata.
  • Exposure to Big Data initiatives such as Hadoop, Hive, Cloudera, or large data warehousing initiatives a plus.
  • Solid Knowledge in security lending, FX trading and / or investment management business; experienced in credit risk, counterparty credit risk, market risk management, and/or investment management
  • Strong project management skills, ability to influence cross-functionally in a rapidly evolving business environment while managing multiple / concurrent projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills.
  • Hold certification in one of the following is a plus: SAS Certification, ACDA, CAP, CCP, CIA, CISA, CFE. CFA or FRM designation is preferred

Additional requirements
While majority of the time you will work from your primary location, some domestic and international travel may be required to a variety of locations where State Street operates.
