POSITION

We are seeking to recruit a Global Equity Research Analyst to join one of our established Equity Portfolio Management teams (Global Quality Equity). The broader Quality Equity team includes both US and Global mandates, with a focus on identifying resilient dividend paying companies at attractive valuations. Ideally located in Boston or London longer term, this analyst will focus on identifying quality companies and securities with strong fundamentals, favorable ESG characteristics, and income with above market dividend yield. While the ideal candidate will be a generalist, coverage focus will depend on the experience of the incoming analyst. The successful candidate will partner with the Portfolio Manager on the team to provide alpha generating investment ideas and to closely follow stocks held.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

The following essential skills are required for the role:
  • Investment acumen and passion - The Analyst will have a passion for and understanding of the global equity markets, and a well-articulated process for researching and evaluating companies. The ability to identify mispricing and valuation discrepancies, make investment recommendations, and communicate her/his findings to Portfolio Managers is required. The ideal candidate will be curious and passionate about markets with prior evidence of successful stock recommendations. In addition, the Analyst must exhibit a fundamental, research oriented, bottom-up approach, supported by a strong investment philosophy and process and be able to implement ideas through an analytical framework.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills - The successful candidate will be energized by being an individual contributor within a collaborative team and embracing the benefits of overlapping lines of company coverage and idea generation across the Firm. The Analyst will build strong trusting relationships internally with colleagues and externally with company management teams. The ability to take risk and challenge investment views is critical, as is the humility to admit mistakes and a desire to learn from others; s/he must recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives. The ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) action-oriented opinions clearly and with conviction, and contribute to an open investment dialogue, is important.
  • Team building and integrity. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of effective teamwork either within or outside of the financial services industry. A strong work ethic will be greatly valued.
  • Growth mindset - The flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving and growing as an investor is required. The Global Quality Equity Analyst will have a broad market perspective and flexible investment mindset, allowing her/him to identify value creation opportunities across the cap spectrum.
