JOB OVERVIEW

The Regulatory Technology Team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join a team responsible for the firm's regulatory technology. This position is an opportunity to be part of a strategic initiative in regulatory technology leveraging to forward our Risk Management Platform built in Service Now IRM. Additionally, this position will lead and sustain the design and architecture in our growing Service Now footprint. The Lead Software Engineer will be part of a highly skilled engineering team to forward enhancements and maintenance of existing applications and infrastructure to keep pace with the evolution and growing complexity of the firm's regulatory needs. Keys to this position are a strong record of engineering high quality solutions in Service Now, solid working knowledge of integrating external systems into Service Now and commitment to Agile and full SDLC processes and practices. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in IT and the business are key. Lead Software Engineer must be methodical and detailed in their design and development approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with business team members, project managers, analysts, other software engineers to review business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans

• Design, prototype, and author code for software components and applications based on functional specification and optimize them for performance

• Ensure the adherence to established code-quality standards within the development and QA teams including continuous integration, code reviews, Dev Ops, and all required release documentation

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with business partners and provide thought leadership and technology solutions that forward business goals and firm needs

• Collaborate across the Technology Department to share knowledge, contribute to Wellington's Open-Source libraries, and engage in lively leading-edge technology discussions

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Computer Science or a similar analytical degree

• 7+ years of software development and design experience in the Service Now Platform

• 7+ years demonstrated experience developing enterprise applications and services using Service Now and related technologies

• Experience using robust SDLC processes and controls through-out the delivery process

• Motivated, agile, and able to work independently in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

• Committed to delivering projects on time and overcome obstacles

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working with Service Now Integrated Risk Management/GRC module, or other related GRC, are a plus
