Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager for Regulatory Reporting, Assistant Vice President, that will audit the controls around the preparation and submission of regulatory reports submitted to key regulators such as the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In this role you will audit the controls over reporting on Liquidity Risk, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Basel, and/or Asset Liability Management (ALM). Key reports that will be covered include the FR Y-14Q, FR Y-9C, and the FFIEC 031 Call Report. You will assess the risk and controls around the design, development, delivery of data from source document or operating systems to the submitted reports, including the flow of the data through relevant staging areas, data warehouses and/or data marts. In this role, you will be part of the Audit Division and will ideally be based in Boston, Massachusetts.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Audit Manager for Regulatory Reporting, Assistant Vice President you will:
  • Plan, execute and complete audits over regulatory reporting using a risk-based approach and according to State Street's Audit Methodology including identification of audit issues and timely delivery of audit reports
  • Manage audit projects (in-person or virtually) with teams in various geographical locations
  • Recommend internal control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies, and identify audit issues, as appropriate
  • Review and validate remediation actions for external or internally identified issues
  • Develop an understanding of process and control industry standards, risk management practices and techniques, and internal audit process, technology and tools for planning, design, performance, testing and reporting.
  • Design, develop and deliver data dashboard tools developed to provide continuous assurance over key reports
  • Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge base of the company's operations, establish effective business relationships within the company and assist management in the understanding and adaptation of internal control principles.
  • Create an environment of trust by coaching and developing audit staff through timely, meaningful and constructive feedback. Solicit diverse views from team members and foster an inclusive team environment;
  • Maintain a current knowledge of audit industry practices and ensure best practices are always considered.
  • Any other projects as assigned that support the Audit Department.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance or Business.
  • Professional audit certifications preferred; a CPA, CIA or CISA is a plus.
  • Four years or more experience in Financial Services Audit, in either Big 4 Public Accounting, Corporate Internal Audit, Risk Advisory practices, or a regulatory agency.
  • Experience with assessment and testing of controls over FRB, FDIC, and FFEIC reporting (including Liquidity Risk, CCAR, Basel, Call Reports, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Data Modeling (ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, etc.) and tools: SAS, SQL, Tableau.
  • Experience in BCBS 239- Data Quality Assessments: Data dictionaries, Data lineage, including Functional (Data Accuracy/Completeness) and Technical (Interface, etc.) control frameworks preferred

Travel up to 25% may be required.
