Job Description:
  • Reporting to the RFP manager for the US, this role involves working closely with Newton's business development/sales, consultant and client relations and partnered distribution teams in winning new business globally and retaining existing clients through responding to RFPs/RFIs, client and consultant DDQs, periodic investment/company updates and ad hoc queries - all within tight deadlines. It also involves updating investment strategy narratives (qualitative information) on consultant databases.
  • The role involves extensive liaison with different departments to ensure all information used is accurate and up to date and that it meets the compliance requirements.
  • It involves working closely with the other RFP team members, based in Boston, New York and London. Additionally, it also involves close interaction with the data team based in London.

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate first through final draft responses to tenders/due diligence questionnaires/updates, etc., ensuring a match with the requirements of the prospect/client.
  • Tailor the response documents to the strategy being presented, client/consultant/prospect geography and client/consultant/prospect type.
  • Research and gather required information, then develop and write sections as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all documentation is compliant and has been passed through the appropriate channels to ensure it has been signed off by all relevant parties.
  • Project manage/coordinate the entire process around the RFP, i.e. making sure the input from different teams/people is received on time, factoring in time for all the quality reviews, and submitting the documents by the deadline - following the team's procedures at every stage. Ensure clear communication throughout the process.
  • Contribute actively to the team's process for keeping the database of RFP content up to date.
  • Respond to ad hoc/RFP requests from global BNY Mellon offices (UK, Asia, Europe and US) and review (as needed) their RFP documents pertaining to Newton.
  • Support the data team in writing/updating the narrative description of Newton's strategies on consultant databases.
  • Work with the rest of the RFP team and the offshore support team based in Pune (India) in updating standard (generic) RFPs for some focus strategies every quarter/as needed.
