What you will be responsible for: Using discretion and judgment, you will assist analysts and senior analysts in preparing financial reports, maintaining, and developing Corporate Finance financial applications and executing general financial functions.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Assist in financial support functions to business units (primarily the Institutional business) focusing on preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts. Communicate with business unit management to investigate and resolve questions on budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare standard financial and operational reports for business units and Corporate Finance. Maintain and administer financial applications.
  • Prepare various financial entries and analysis and reconciliations to assist in the financial close process. Investigate and resolves reconciling items.
  • Review actual to budget results with business unit management and initiates any adjustments.
  • Perform maintenance and administrative functions to financial applications to ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in the communication and presentation to Corporate Finance, business units and a number of external parties relating to a variety of financial applications and reports.
  • Assume additional duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business-related field or Associate's Degree with one to three years of working experience in the finance/accounting industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications (i.e. Excel, Hyperion, PeopleSoft etc.)
  • Ability to identify issues, address them appropriately to Supervisor and team members, and to assist in developing solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work overtime as needed.
