Overview
The Private Investing Marketing Analyst is a newly created role in the Global Marketing function. We seek a professional who combines private investing expertise, a client perspective, and a commercial lens to partner with product management, investors, fund sponsors, legal & compliance, and our client services group to effectively position and communicate our private investing capabilities, approaches, and funds. This individual will partner with the Private Investing Marketing Strategist to support the development of the overarching strategy and executing tactical execution plans in coordination with key stakeholders.

This role is part of a global marketing function with locations in Boston, London, Singapore, and Tokyo. As part of the Alternatives marketing team, this individual will also partner closely with our EMEA and APAC marketing teams, as well as with our channel marketers who are aligned with our global client-facing teams. Global Marketing also includes teams dedicated to content creation and management (writing/editing/proofreading, readership optimization and content tagging), public relations, design (digital and print), marketing operations and project management, digital marketing, and events.

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Marketing strategy program support
    • Founders: Help execute the deal sourcing marketing strategy and plan. Tactics could potentially include public relations, social and events
    • LPs: Help execute the marketing strategy and plan that targets potential allocators. Tactics could include public relations, social, events and paid media.
  • Marketing tactic development:
    • As part of the execution of the above marketing plans, develop compelling and differentiated marketing materials for private investing content
    • Review our existing private investing marketing materials and identify areas for improvement, bringing an external and commercial perspective
    • Analyze, monitor, and provide feedback on industry and peer trends to ensure content and positioning are differentiated, relevant and compelling
  • New funds: Partner with private investing product marketing to launch new funds, focusing on awareness and consideration tactics
  • Closely collaborate with global alternatives marketing campaign (alternatives platform) and global sustainable investing campaign (ESG private investing) marketing colleagues
  • Collaborate with Client Services Group and product management on sales training and support, as well as dissemination of new materials
Qualifications

Specific qualifications include:
  • Previous private investing marketing experience (3-5 years)
  • Investment knowledge
  • Ability to tell 'stories' through content that will engage a variety of audiences, allocators and portfolio companies
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and intellectual curiosity
  • Global mindset; experience in working across borders (particularly in continental Europe and with colleagues in the U.S. and Asia), time zones and cultures
  • Flexibility and the ability to partner effectively with others, seek a wider audience, build consensus, influence, and act decisively
  • Strong collaborator and influencer - ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and quickly build relationships
  • Effective communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Sense of humor and passion for working in a creative and collaborative environment
  • Ability to prioritize work, aligning with both strategic firm-wide priorities and AUM goals
  • Grace under pressure; ability to adapt, "roll up sleeves" and get things done
