Overview

The Client Integration (CI) Manager position for the Americas Institutional Group operates within Client Transition Services (CTS) and the broader InvesTech function and is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and oversight of various client and fund lifecycle events. They will oversee the operational aspects of various client transition events including new mandate fundings, terminations, all asset-in-kind flows and product/portfolio changes through effective project management, with an emphasis on operational risk and control environment. The CI Manager will work closely with other teams across the infrastructure, investment, and client platforms to ensure a well-executed and risk managed transition event. A substantial amount of time will be devoted to both internal co-ordination and external communication with clients, transition managers, and custodian banks.

Responsibilities
  • Engage the organization appropriately to overseeing the planning, coordination and oversight of various client and fund lifecycle events across client that are part of the Americas Institutional Group
  • Ensure that all appropriate parties and functional groups are informed, involved, and engaged in the transition process.
  • Evaluation of the complexity, special requirements, and risks associated with each event, while also considering ongoing servicing requirements
  • Events may require multiple adjustments to strategy and execution, depending on client needs and internal business policies and standards.
  • Align firm resources and expectations with the client's resources and expectations.
  • Anticipate and communicate trends in the industry so that the firm can adapt as necessary to ensure that protocols keep pace with the market.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships externally with peers in the industry.
Qualifications

The CI Manager is expected to have 10+ years in the investment management industry. Characteristics for success in the role include:
  • Excellent organizational, project planning and execution skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task under time constraints; able to take leadership role in the decision-making process, bringing parties to a consensus
  • Problem solving skills in terms of understanding client objectives and developing effective and appropriate solutions
  • Strong business judgment and risk awareness, including the ability to synthesize complex issues and effectively balance competing objectives
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Broad knowledge of the investment process, including portfolio construction, trading, investment, custody, fund administration, and securities knowledge (including derivatives)
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, other functions, and other offices.
