The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team are the gatekeepers of this critical asset and are responsible for a variety of firm-wide data management capabilities, including data product strategy, data operations, data governance and data architecture. This global team reports to the Chief Data Officer within the InvesTech department.

Position
The IBOR Data Integrity Analyst ("The Analyst") will be part of the newly formed Investment Book of Record (IBOR) Data Integrity team within Enterprise Data Services. The Analyst will play a key role, partnering with Data Product Strategists and IT, in establishing a new team operating model as well as the transformational effort to instill a 'data as an asset' mindset. The Analyst will work to define, develop, and execute on tactical data management workflows and operational data integrity activities to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of IBOR data produced for consuming applications and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with Data Product Strategists and IT to learn IBOR data domain; including data production and consumption patterns and IBOR data calculations, assumptions, methodologies
  • Participate in broad account migration data validation efforts from legacy Investment View platform to IBOR
  • Oversight of data reconciliations, break resolution (ex. market exposure, market value, units, performance)
  • Define, implement, and manage additional data quality controls and oversight dashboards
  • Document process, workflows, control logic, and metrics
  • First-tier support for recon and control exceptions and consumer inquiries
  • Coordinate with other teams across the department and firm to resolve issues and define functional workflows
  • Work with Data Product Strategists on incident management, prioritization and implementation of data enhancement requests (including new data requests)
Qualifications
  • The candidate is required to have a Bachelor's degree with relevant financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge of the economics, investment exposures, and investment performance of financial instruments is desirable
  • Data querying and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Postman, and Tableau are beneficial
  • Exhibits a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and problem resolution
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and the ability to think and work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to synthesize complex topics and clearly communicate them to stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Quick learner with ability to apply business and industry knowledge
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to succeed and the ability to self-motivate and motivate others
