State Street Global Advisors is looking for Technology Architect will be responsible for defining future-state architecture strategy, establish, formalize and articulate design principles, bring transparency into governance process and evangelize adoption/implementation. The candidate will be part of Technology Architecture team within a Financial Services firm and will help in assessing existing technology capabilities, gathering business technology requirements, applying industry standard design principles, make best practices recommendations.

As Technology Architect, you will:
- Work closely with stakeholder leadership and business unit partners defining comprehensive, modern data and services architecture to drive standardization, consistency, risk controls and overall governance. The candidate will be performing the following duties:
- Develop Reference Architecture and roadmaps to build highly available, scalable, resilient and performant data platforms to process high volume, high velocity and wide variety of structured and unstructured data
- Design, Develop, Implement technology solutions in public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Develop applications leveraging various technologies - Java, Python, RDBMS, Kafka, snowflake
- Design and code applications for cloud, leveraging Cloud native architecture principles and technologies
- Ensure all Cloud solutions exhibit higher level of cost efficiency, performance, security, scalability and reliability
- Work with infrastructure and other related teams to ensure deployment and operationalization of cloud applications
- Evaluate various technologies and complete POC driving architecture design for the applications
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
- 8+ years of data solution architecture, design and development delivery experience. 2+ years of Cloud data architecture and solutions.
- Full stack technology acumen form business application though infrastructure.
- Demonstrated technology and personal leadership experience in architecting, crafting and successfully building highly scalable data solutions.
- Proven experience in relational (Oracle and PostgreSQL are desirable), NoSQL, and data warehouse technologies and in-memory databases.
- Experience building scalable, performant data solutions (e.g., OLTP, master data management, and data warehouse) on-premises, in the public cloud (e.g., AWS), and hybrid cloud.
- Enterprise scale expertise in data management standard methodologies such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality.
- Extensive knowledge with architecting modern data integration frameworks, messaging, API Gateways, Containerized survives, highly scalable distributed systems using open source and emerging data architecture designs and patterns.
- Expert capability to analyze cost and performance in a data solution or pattern and recommend improvement for optimization.
- Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
- Leadership skills to architect and design data infrastructure capabilities on-premises and in the cloud.
- Ability to collaborate and partner with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, Enterprise architects and other functional leads to deliver world class data solutions.
- Experience with designing & architecting services, systems & data platforms
- Experience with designing & architecting BigData platforms is a plus.
- Experience in event driven architectures, message hub, MQ, Kafka is required.
- Subject Matter Expertise in J2EE concepts, micro service architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, ETL tools, Data as a Service, Star Schema, Dimension modelling, OLTP, ACID and data structures is desired
- Self-motivated, quick learner and creative problem solver, organized, and responsible for managing a team of dev engineers.
- Ability to work with Application Development, SQA, and Infrastructure team.
- Ability to work in an on-shore/off-shore model working with development teams across continents
- Expertise in Cloud data services ecosystem such as OLTP, ODS, streaming products, Data Lake, sophisticated analytics technologies, BI reporting and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of organizational change management methodologies and practices.
