What you will be responsible for: Using discretion and judgment and under the direction of the Dealer Payment Supervisor, you will carry out the processes and procedures assigned to the department, including performing dealer payment reconciliations and related activities for MFS's strategic alliance partners. Working with other members of the Distribution Group within Finance, ensure that the unit meets or exceeds client and department service expectations.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of relationship contract information (i.e., terms, funds, rates) assigned.
  • Calculate and reconcile domestic and offshore strategic alliance dealer payments. Reconciliation of payments will involve comparing internal dealer account/asset data with external source data.
  • Assist with the Duplicate Fund/Account Analysis process to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and drafting of quarterly memo. Discuss and review issues encountered with Supervisor as needed.
  • Assemble and track strategic alliance dealer payment packages using database.
  • Create monthly/quarterly dealer payment journal entries for posting in the GL.
  • Aggregate and track domestic and offshore dealer average net assets.
  • Research and reconcile internal dealer payment data with external source data.

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of one year experience of quality control in one of the following areas: distribution, accounting, or administrative area of an investment advisor, auditing firm or custodian bank preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and quality control skills required.
  • Ability to identify issues, addresses them appropriately to Supervisor, and assist in developing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
