WELLINGTON MANAGEMENT

Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets. Our investment solutions, tailored to the unique return and risk objectives of institutional clients in more than 60 countries, draw on a robust body of proprietary research and a collaborative culture that encourages independent thought and healthy debate. As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients.

We are transitioning to a hybrid work environment where both remote work and the office play a critical role. Our vision is a future where all employees are empowered to work flexibly to drive the best outcomes for our clients. Flexible work is a mindset and a core value. Our employees are encouraged to work remotely two days a week as a standard practice and will have flexibility in terms of working hours.

We are seeking a Human Resources Relationship Manager (HRRM) to join our team in Boston. The HRRM will have broad generalist responsibilities providing HR business partnership to a subset of our Infrastructure Platform.

Through strong relationships, good judgment, situational flexibility and a natural curiosity, the HRRM will be a hands-on business partner to management teams, managers and employees on a wide variety of talent topics aligned with business needs. In addition, the HRRM will be involved across a wide variety of cross-functional HR initiatives, working closely with the HR specialist teams, including diversity and inclusion, compensation planning and analysis, recruitment, learning and development, and global mobility, etc. Specific responsibilities will be varied and flexible according to business needs but will include the areas outlined below.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leaders and managers on key business issues and across the full HR suite of processes, talent themes and day-to-day matters to ensure delivery of appropriate solutions and execution of relevant processes in a client-centric manner
  • Closely collaborate with local and global HR colleagues to coach and influence in a highly global, matrixed environment
  • Act as an advisor to managers for employee relations (ER) issues, compensation (during mid and year-end cycle), on-boarding and assimilation of new hires, development planning, talent processes, and various additional talent decisions
  • Be a resource to employees for questions and concerns and assist them with career development and progression topics and opportunities
  • Partner with the business on key talent transitions including supporting new managers or leaders in new roles, employee transitions and coverage plans for leaves of absences
  • Develop and execute talent strategies with diversity and inclusion at their core
  • Drive and contribute to broad HR related projects
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will thrive in a high performing, high integrity environment. They will be a clear communicator, with an ability to connect the dots across multiple conversations/initiatives in order to execute core processes, support change management initiatives, diagnose issues, generate themes and craft creative solutions. They will have a strong motivation to execute and see projects through to completion. Candidates will need to have an ability to flex their approach across functions and work collaboratively in a matrixed and global environment.

Candidates should have 8-10 years of Human Resources experience with prior experience working as a business partner with ownership of client groups in a global, intellectually oriented environment. Experience with technology, fintech or financial services teams is preferred.
  • Relationship management skills, including strong listening skills and a client focused mindset; a demonstrated ability to successfully partner with leaders and managers
  • Ability to influence and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of flexible delivery/situational awareness
  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire/ability to understand our business
  • Demonstrated ability to both be part of a team and be self-directed to "get things done"
  • Ability to work in a team environment and partner across functions and levels to bring day to day work and projects to completion
  • Execution/process orientation with strong follow-through is critical to success in this role
Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications? That's ok. If you believe that you could excel in this role, we encourage you to apply and welcome a chance to review your background. We are dedicated to building and maintaining a diversified workforce and considering a broad array of candidates with a variety of skill, workplace experiences, and backgrounds.
