What you will be responsible for:
PURPOSE :

The Associate HR Business Partner works collaboratively with the HR Business Partners and the Employee Relations team providing HR support to assigned Business Unit(s) for Employee Relations, Talent/Performance Management, Workforce Planning and Compensation.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • In partnership with the Human Resources Business Partner(s), provide business unit analytics to support actionable insights within each respective business unit
  • Maintains regular contact with employees and managers within assigned business unit(s) to address questions and concerns and to ensure that quality service is provided to business unit(s). Works with HR Business Partner and Centers of Excellence to resolve complex employee and/or talent challenges.
  • In partnership with the Human Resources Business Partners support MFS' Talent Management Strategy by assisting with annual firm wide talent review and succession planning activities.
  • Facilitates and/or leads targeted business unit and/or department wide training initiatives in the areas of the performance/talent management.
  • Interprets and executes all applicable HR policies to ensure employees have a good working knowledge of all corporate policies.
  • Leverages HR technology as a means to share actionable insights on both talent & workforce planning initiatives with the Human Resources Business Partners and/or Business Leaders.
  • Facilitates exit interviews with employees and tracks/reports on key themes and metrics within and outside the department.
  • In partnership with the Senior HR Business Partners and the HR-IS Team, streamline, consolidate and standardize HR reporting across the global HR function (where applicable).
  • Works closely with business line managers and/or HR Business Partners to draft and edit new or revised job descriptions and facilitates the evaluation process with the compensation team.
  • Consults with the Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Enablement Team & assigned business unit(s) to develop practical solutions to both workforce planning and talent management/acquisition challenges.


JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of progressive generalist experience in Human Resources providing service to employees and managers in various capacities which span across several HR disciplines.
  • Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office tools, e.g. excel, PowerPoint, etc...)
  • Ability to interpret and translate HR data into actionable insights and business solutions.
  • Effective negotiation and consultative skills at the middle management level.
  • Operational experience in Human Resources providing service to employees and managers in various capacities. Ability to work with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle information in a manner which protects confidentiality.
  • Independent problem solver who presents solutions and takes initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Strong ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
