We are looking to hire an inquisitive, proactive, risk-minded professional with developing data, analytical, organizational and project management skills. This role exists in the Risk Governance & Reporting ("RGR") team within Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM"), reporting functionally into a Managing Director of ERM, in Boston. The team has a global remit to implement tools and capabilities that will be key components of the enterprise risk framework, while collaborating with leaderships of risk teams and the global Risk Committees to enhance the firm's risk governance capabilities. One of the main areas of focus for the RGR team is to oversee development, implementation, and rollout of a firmwide Governance, Risk and Compliance platform ("GRC"), which is comprised of Risk & Control, Risk Events, Policy Management, Audit Management, Vendor Risk, and Compliance functionality. The individual in this role will work closely with the GRC Program Manager to oversee all elements of the GRC initiative, including initial development and reporting capabilities. Building relationships with Information Technology and Enterprise Risk Management colleagues will be important, as will engaging with operational groups around the firm to better understand their risk management processes and future needs.

  • Analyze impact and feasibility to prioritize various use cases for implementation and development in the GRC platform
  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts to build appropriate support models for each use case implemented, ensuring that GRC functionality and roles & responsibilities are clear and well understood by all parties
  • Lead migration of various risk event management processes onto ServiceNow's GRC platform
    • Understand data inputs, required workflows, and desired reporting capabilities
    • Ensure proper linkages back to risk and control registers, where appropriate
    • Partner with Information Technology team to build GRC capabilities that meet these business needs
    • Drive de-commissioning of existing risk event processes
  • Maintain project management artifacts, like detailed roadmaps and issues logs
  • Build insightful dashboards and reports within GRC to share key insights and drive information to key stakeholders, including subject matter experts, management, and various risk governance bodies
  • Develop and perform data integrity checks across all components of GRC functionality
  • Serve as a key interface with the broader organization with respect to GRC functionality and reporting
  • Partner with IT professionals to oversee ongoing enhancements to existing GRC platform
  • Support data management and data analysis needs of the broader RGR & ERM team
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5-7 years of experience required, with focus in asset management preferred
  • General understanding of three lines of defense risk management model
  • Experience with data management and applying analytical tools to meet business needs
  • Project management certification/experience, incident management experience, and ServiceNow GRC experience a plus
  • Strategic thinker, with an ability to translate strategy into tangible implementation plans
  • Excellent connector who comfortably builds and maintains strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Catalyst for change, with proven ability to constructively challenge status quo
  • Excellent problem-solver, with a recognized ability to find novel solutions for complex operational challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under aggressive deadlines while delivering superior outcomes
  • Ability and desire to drive key initiatives within a small team
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and listening skills
