What you will be responsible for: BASIC PURPOSE:

This is a junior Programmer Analyst position on the Data Services team. The candidate should have a strong technical background and be able to navigate through databases and multi-tiered application code to make changes and enhancements to existing systems. The candidate also must be able to independently design and build small systems, or work with a more senior developer on a complex project. Responsibilities also include operational tasks and production support.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carries out programming functions: Writes, debugs, and tests code following best practices in Informatica Powercenter, Informatica Data Quality and Informatica MDM.
  • Meets with managers or project leaders to define systems needs and to design applications.
  • Analyzes user needs and develops project specifications with users.
  • Researches and resolves flow of information and system issues. Responds to bug reports.
  • Provide production support for existing systems.
  • Maintains various databases.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or equivalent.
  • One to two years programming experience preferred; however qualified recent graduates will be considered.
  • Skills in one or more of the following preferred: SQL, JAVA, python, scripting such as Perl.
  • Relational database knowledge required. Experience with Oracle and SQL Server preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communications skilled required. Strong analytical skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of financial services industry preferred.
