Who we are looking for
This role will provide leadership on strategy, governance, finance, talent management, and performance management supporting the GlobalLink CTO while working alongside GlobalLink IT leads to develop, evaluate and implement business strategy across the group, cooperating with the GlobalLink CAO/COO teams, to help oversee controls and act as an escalation point to GlobalLink management and help in resource management for the group. The IT CAO will also be responsible for coordinating the IT separation plan for the Resolution and Recovery Plan for GlobalLink and will need to work closely with the IT managers as well as the Global CAO, Risk and RRP teams.

Global Link, a division of State Street Digital, is a leader in developing and providing electronic trading platforms for multiple asset classes. Our platforms are used by 19 out of the top 20 largest asset managers to execute trades as well as manage their post trade settlement processes. The GlobalLink team develops sophisticated electronic trading systems handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM. The products are built on modern server side and frontend web technologies. Our product suites continue to expand both vertically with new features, and horizontally into other businesses and asset classes. Our platforms run within our own data centers that GlobalLink manages.

You will be joining State Street Digital, our new division that combines advanced trading technology, best execution and servicing expertise with proprietary market research and insights to support clients in decentralized financial markets. Together with other teams across our company, you will be working on the evolution of our award-winning GlobalLink technology platform into a multi-asset solution that will include crypto, central bank digital currency, blockchain and tokenization.

What you will be responsible for
The ideal candidate will be a member of our IT team reporting into the Head of Development. This individual will be responsible for:
  • Managing, maintaining, and coordinating close cooperation with relevant subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive impact analysis and review of business/product proposals and change requests across all business units and functions for our various strategy documents/reports that include but are not limited to RRP, regulatory, business continuity, etc.
  • Managing and maintaining various IT Key Performance Indexes (KPIs)
  • Managing, maintaining, and coordinating hiring for various IT areas for FTEs and contractors
  • Managing, and maintaining contractor SOWs (through BEELINE) for various IT teams working with vendors, IT managers, etc.
  • Managing onboarding and off-boarding of contractors in a timely manner
  • Working closely with Finance on budgets, SOP98 deferrals, asset impairment reviews, etc.
  • Working with our Head of Procurement on software product license renewals and new product purchases as part of annual budget planning
  • Managing and maintaining our IT projects through Clarity, and timesheet tracking
  • Coordinating necessary approvals by the various Executive Management Board and other relevant forums, i.e. the GlobalLink Oversight Committee, Architecture Board, etc.
  • Monitoring status of proposals, implemented scope and resolution of open points and issues and provide senior management and other key stakeholders with relevant reporting
  • Act as the Committee Secretary for IT managing the agenda, policies and procedures and all other related governance requirements
  • Act as the central point of contact for any questions and provide input into related downstream processes, including strategic and financial plans and other deliverables
  • Manage cross-functional projects and ad hoc requests if and when required
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local laws/regulation and Corporate Policy

  • Advanced organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Clarity, BEELINE a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Successfully completed Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally some experience within the area of business/product development and/or in a regulated environment
