Who we are looking for
We are seeking an outcome-oriented person with excellent communication and control design and assessment skills who is seeking to develop a career in financial services by working with a leading financial institution to implement our enterprise data management strategy.

As a member of State Street's Enterprise Data Services team, the Enterprise Data Controls Lead, Vice President, will focus on defining the set of cross-organizational control capabilities that together form a fully operational data controls environment. Utilizing the Data Capability Assessment Model (DCAM™) as an industry methodology reference, the role will work collaboratively with business data management, enterprise data management, technology data architecture and horizontal functions (enterprise risk, SDLC, privacy, cyber) to ensure sustainable business as usual processes and routines are functioning to enable a successful data control environment.

What you will be responsible for
As Enterprise Data Controls Lead, Vice President, you will
  • Ensure all facets of required data lifecycle controls are identified and captured in a cohesive controls framework.
  • Implement appropriate mechanisms for sustained and effective execution and oversight of the data controls framework.
  • Align the holistic data controls framework with existing cross-functional policies and standards and assess for current and ongoing maturation utilizing the DCAM™ framework.

  • Facilitation and Elicitation Skills: Can facilitate working meetings, ask good questions, listen to the answers, and absorb what's being said to discover skakeholder requirements.
  • Collaboration Skills: Must possess strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment (including a global work model).

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Audit/Controls, Data Governance, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in control design, assessment or audit function.
  • Business acumen including experience with investment products and services.
  • Experience with data governance and management topics.
