The State Street Global Markets (SSGM) business has established a Risk Management function that is focused on mitigating risk from within the first line of defense by providing oversight of business risks, central management of control programs and risk governance, establishment of reporting, implementation of corporate programs and business solutions related to operational, compliance and technology risks.
Who we are looking for
In this role, you will liaise on a regular basis with the Global Markets' business teams, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal and Audit thereby complementing and building on the control and risk infrastructure already in place in Global Markets. Specifically, you will provide support for centrally managed activities on behalf of Global Markets including control management, regulatory change & policy implementation, management reporting & data analytics, as well as help drive the adoption of technology to improves productivity.
Your ability to be detailed originated, take initiative, exercise independent thinking, juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet aggressive deadlines will be key in this fast-paced environment. Your strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and interest in working in a professional and team-oriented environment, will contribute to your success.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
You will be responsible for supporting the Business Risk Management team through the execution of the following responsibilities:
• Manage changes to the control inventory and central repository. Drive efforts to continually improve data quality.
• Produce management reporting and analytics with meaningful insights as to the risk and control environment
• Assist in the management of regulatory and policy changes, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, tracking status and escalating areas of concern
• Support and help drive the use of technology and tools to improve operational efficiencies
• Lead and contribute to risk and compliance related projects, collaborating with risk colleagues globally and managing deliverables
• Perform other tasks as required

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• BS, BA, BBA or equivalent work experience
• 3-5+ years in risk management, compliance, audit, control experience
• Knowledgeable about processes, risks and controls/control design and/or regulations
• Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with programming languages, business intelligence tools, or other end-user technologies a plus
• Knowledge of Global Markets businesses and applications a plus

While this role has been advertised as being Boston based, we are flexible on other locations within the global footprint of the organization including (but not limited to) London.
