Job Description

InvesTech Operations, EMEA has an open position for an Investment Commentary Analyst in Fixed Income Product Reporting team based out of the London office supporting the Product Reporting Team. The lead will report to Piers Kumar in London and Yuko Herrmann in Boston and will be primarily focused on Fixed Income securities and markets.

The Analyst will primarily focus on preparing credit commentaries for issuers held in funds across the firm's fixed income platform as well as markets. As part of the Product Reporting Team, the Analyst will work to leverage internal propriety research and external resources to develop commentary that effectively communicates the investment views of the fund in response to various regulatory requirements and market events. The Analyst will interact with key stakeholders across our global investment platform, will be closely aligned with Investment team and Investment Products & Fund Strategies (IPFS), and will serve as internal subject matter expert to Client Group broadly. The Analyst will also work closely with the Boston-based Investment Commentary team and act as a point of contact for other teams on the ground in EMEA.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position will include the following:
  • Partner with Investment team and IPFS, interpret issuer specific investment analysis into concise, polished, and accurate content that is user friendly and meets the needs of the target audience
  • Independently manage and organize a high volume of projects with evolving priorities, in close collaboration with multiple key stakeholders
  • Develop the expertise to effectively communicate investor perspectives in written form; this includes serving as a subject matter expert and assisting with broad efforts to respond to market-related events
  • Proofread material for grammatical precision and context in adherence to established style guidelines
  • Serve as regional representative of the global investment commentary team.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Strong academic credentials and some relevant professional experience (3+ years) in investment management, client reporting, marketing communications, or technical writing
  • Demonstrated high level of interest in capital markets, particularly in the Fixed Income asset class.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - the ability to synthesize disparate information, identify the most important elements, and arrive at a conclusion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of activity under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, a team player, and able to work on multiple assignments and complete high-quality work against strict and competing deadlines that are dictated by prospects and clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word; ability to adapt quickly to new technology
  • High level of motivation, humility, and the ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
