Job purpose/role
The Investment Strategy Team of AIM Investment Management in Munich is together with Allianz' local teams across the globe responsible for designing and implementing the investment strategy in the insurance portfolios. As such, we cooperate closely with our colleagues within the global AIM network as well as our internal and external asset managers in developing our investment strategy and adapting it to the specific needs of the portfolios.

Being part of the Investment Strategy Team of AIM, you will contribute to achieving superior investment results for our clients over the long-run. Your focus area will be in shaping the investment strategy for traded fixed income securities with a focus on ESG and credit. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an investment team managing a truly global portfolio with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.

Key responsibilities
  • Contribute fixed income credit expertise to shape the strategy of Allianz Group and local portfolios within their KPIs.
  • Drive integration of ESG dimensions into fixed income strategies and mandates, esp. implementation of our net zero emission objective by designing and coordinating strategy
  • Key contributor to AIM and Allianz ESG community for fixed income topics and participate in relevant internal and external workstreams (e.g. SFDR implementation, AOA)
  • Act as central contact for ESG topics in the global fixed income team.
  • Analyze capital markets developments with focus on credit and ESG related issuance. Develop and employ tools for market intelligence to derive investment solutions.
  • Compose credit investment proposals and updates for Allianz community and committees.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with local investment teams across the globe as well as group stakeholders and internal and external portfolio managers. Enhance efficiency for all stakeholders by acting as a platform for group entities on credit topics.


Key requirements/skills/experience
  • Excellent relevant academic degree; CFA- and/or ESG certificates will be a plus
  • Fluent English written and spoken, German or an additional major language is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; Bloomberg, Eikon
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in investment functions - ideally in portfolio steering, credit or ESG. Experience in fixed income community or asset management would be a plus
  • Passion for financial markets and investments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
