Credit Analyst

Institutional asset manager seeks a Credit Analyst to join its investment team.  The firm manages traditional fixed income, inflation sensitive and multi-sector strategies and is seeking a generalist to cover high grade and high-yield domestic and international issuers (including EM), and effectively communicate investment recommendations to the investment team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental analysis on investment-grade, high-yield and EM issuers.
• Analyst will be a fixed income generalist and must be able to successfully cover a wide variety of issuers.
• Make investment recommendations that reflect relative value, liquidity and portfolio constraints.
• Develop key insights into portfolio performance and communicate these across the firm.
• Help with periodic client reporting of attribution and return data.
• Monitor material developments among existing holdings.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

• BA/BS degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Math or Economics.
• Progress toward CFA Charter preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates experienced with Bloomberg PORT.
• Fixed Income experience a must. Minimum 1-3 years of credit and/or emerging market corporate credit analysis.
• Ability to work in a collegial atmosphere as part of a close-knit team.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate investment recommendations.
• Intellectually curious and self-motivated, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and preferably Bloomberg API.
