Job Details
Basic Purpose:
Based in Boston, the analyst will be a member of Eaton Vance Management’s Specialty Solutions Team which focuses on long-term tax-managed strategies. With over $40b in AUM and experiencing strong business growth, the team is seeking an equity research analyst who will focus on the long-term fundamental analysis of companies across a range of market caps and industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering multiple areas of technology while also researching other segments of the market as needed in a generalist capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze and provide investment recommendations on publicly traded companies across a variety of industries and market caps
- Identify secular growth opportunities as well as risks across a broad investment universe
- Pursue a long-term investment approach balancing investment and tax considerations
- Employ diligent equity research utilizing both qualitative and quantitative sources of information
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with other department analysts to maximize knowledge within various sectors
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree and CFA preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant investment experience with a deep understanding of the technology landscape
- Experience in small and mid-capitalization investing preferred
- Proven track record of success in generating alpha over an extended investment time horizon
- Ability to research, analyze and provide recommendations on a wide range of potential investments in an efficient timeframe
- Superior understanding of securities analysis, valuation methods, qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
- Advance computer skills and strong attention to detail
