Basic Purpose

Reporting to the RFP Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Eaton Vance Management (EVM) requests. The RFP Supervisor will oversee direct reports including a Senior RFP Specialist. This team will support EVM requests for the US sales team as well as the Retail sales team. The EVM RFP team is responsible for the completion of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), Quarterly/Monthly/Annual 3rd party intermediary updates and similar ad hoc requests. This individual will work closely with all levels of the firm, including Legal/Compliance, Marketing, Product Management, Institutional Sales, Global Relationship Management team (GRM), Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) and Consultant Relations staff to ensure high-quality and compliant submissions for the Institutional and Retail Advisory channels.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end guidance in the EVM RFP response process
  • Provide RFP triage and tracking responsibilities - set up meetings with stakeholders on intake when needed and push back on requests when not supported with sufficient rationale
  • Communicate with Institutional sales, client service and investment professionals to assess prospect and client needs, understand the firm's strategic advantages in the marketplace, and create proposals that express these advantages for maximum impact
  • Communicate with GRM and WMS as the first point of contact for annual and due diligence questionnaires
  • Conduct post-response debriefing sessions to assess what worked well and identify areas for improvement
  • Represent the Calvert/ESG RFP team to senior management as well as a network of internal and external constituents
  • Complete firm-level surveys for EVM
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a EVM SMEs
  • Keep abreast of EVM strategy/vehicle developments in terms of structure, staffing, performance and competitive strengths
  • Understand and uphold high editorial standards that consistently express a voice consistent with the Eaton Vance brand
  • Oversee the maintenance and compliance of the RFP Database (Qvidian). Meet with RFP Database Manager/RFP Manager to access process
  • Update and maintain the RFP Policy Manual and RFP Training Manual

Job Requirements
  • 7-10 years of institutional investment management experience with demonstrable skills in content creation and management, product mastery and positioning, proposal development and oversight, and relationship management
  • MBA, CFA is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and services, ideally across multiple distribution channels
  • Strong understanding of institutional and retail domain and competitive landscape
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks in deadline-driven environment and collaborating with senior, market-facing associates, good interpersonal skills, and an orientation towards the achievement of team goals
  • Outstanding skills in organization, time management, multi-tasking, prioritization, attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Qvidian experience preferred
