Global Income Group Description:

The Eaton Vance Global Income Group manages approximately $19 billion across a range of investment strategies. The team analyzes the macroeconomic and political environments of more than one hundred countries and translates these fundamental views into investment ideas. Our research process leverages traditional news and crowd-sourced media, economic data releases, relationships with economists and political analysts, and on the ground travel to meet with policy makers and in-country experts. We exploit both long and short investment opportunities and use a variety of sovereign bonds, currencies, and other cash and derivative instruments in order to execute our strategies. Our team is made up of highly motivated professionals with diverse backgrounds who complement our global perspective.

Research Associate Program Description:

The Global Income Research Associate Program is designed for talented individuals who have their undergraduate degree, possess a strong interest in economics, international affairs and financial markets, and are likely to pursue a graduate degree in economics, international affairs, public policy, business, or a similar advanced degree program within three to four years.

Research Associates (RAs) are hired to support Global Analysts and Portfolio Managers in covering a specific region of the world. The Program provides excellent investment training along with developmental experiences working with Global Analysts and Portfolio Managers in conducting in-depth economic, political and country analysis. As performance and business needs permit, the program also provides opportunities for travel to countries within an RAs coverage area, and work in Eaton Vances global offices in locations such as Boston, London, and Singapore. In addition, RAs are encouraged to work towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Training and Career Development:

In the first month, new Research Associates attend formal training. Training covers macroeconomics, finance, complex derivatives, and systems; and includes progress toward the

CFA designation.

In addition, the Company will support our Senior Research Associates in the graduate school admission process. This includes providing guidance and career development that will position our talented Research Associates for admission into a top graduate program pursuing an advanced degree in fields including economics, international affairs, public policy, or business.

Career Progression:

Successful RAs will gain substantial job responsibility, valuable work experience and training over the Program time frame. The following are the position titles and expected time frame in each role.

Research Associate : Up to 2 years

Senior Research Associate**: 1-2 years

**Promotion to Senior Research Associate requires successful completion of the CFA Level II

Curriculum and Test, or an equivalent professional development achievement.

We encourage individuals to actively pursue admission into a top graduate program between the second and third year. A senior member of the team works closely with individuals throughout the admissions process and acceptance. Once an individual has accepted enrollment into a graduate program, it should be communicated to their supervisor.

In most cases, RAs employment ends no later than four years after Program commencement.

Successful departing RAs entering a full time graduate program will be eligible to receive a prorated discretionary bonus in recognition of their fiscal year performance.
